Sorry, mislabeled things. I said outline mode, because vo calls it an outline, but I was talking about the mode used when selecting a file in the file select pop-up box when a program wants to find a file. I believe this is list mode, since I know it's not icon mode, and it's not column mode. Perhaps there's another mode (outline mode?) used when selecting files in a pop-up box that doesn't appear when in normal finder windows.
