Boy, you're making me dig around in my memory of the OSX install
process, which I had the store person do because, foolish, foolish
man that I was, I didn't figure that Apple would have been
progressive enough to allow for a talking install of their operating
system—something which, incidentally, I find quite nice, my earlier
comments about VoiceOver 0.7 notwithstanding. Anyway, I think it
asks your city and suchlike when you install, and the weather widget
derives information there. Alternately, it may have been your zip
code as, looking at the JavaScript source for the widget, it appears
to query AccuWeather, I think it is, for data based on your zip code.
As per the dock, I was looking to do things like move Xcode or other
such things to the Dock, which I've only been able to do through vast
amounts of trial and error.

Or to put it another way, is there a way we can add icons to the
dock without having to rely on someone whose eyes actually work,

widgets? My weather widget is still giving me data on Portland,
Maine.
