Jane:
shut down your computer. Put the first install cd in the drive; it
won't push all the way in with the power off. Then hold down the
letter c while starting your computer and make sure the cd goes in.
This will load the installer. When it's loaded, which you can usually
tell by the lack of sounds, use command-f5 to start voiceover. even
if you make a mistake and do it too soon you can just wait and do it
again if nothing happens.
