This is normal. In that browser, every program name is grayed out.
I haven't a clue why, but if you try to assign certain file extensins
to applications, this happens. Apparently, there's file extensions
apple doesn't think we should be able to fiddle with. Just use pico
in terminal, it always works. Failing that, if you really don't want
to use it, get a copy of default apps, then change the extensions all
you like.
