Hi there. Yes, I was able to to use VoiceOver throughout the entire
install. I had to turn it on after booting up the computer with the
first disc, then turn it on again after the computer restarts so I
would know when to insert that second disc. I was able to follow
what it was doing and everything. It was nice. I probably will not
need to call Apple Tech Support again (thank heavens, unless I get
the guy I had the first time).

the Applications folder.
When I did this, I was pretty new to the Ibook but my wife who has
some sight was able to do the re-install and we were told 45
minutes but you know not. smile
My question, were you able to use Voiceover through the install?
Since I didn't have the Ibook that long, and knew everything was
working, the folder was roughly 5 gig and took around 10 minutes to
empty the trash.

I didn't ask the tech support person. He was nice enough, but he
had no clue. I mean, he didn't even know for sure what VoiceOver
was, and he had a hard time telling me what I needed to do. So
anyhow, he said the install was supposed to only take 30 minutes
or so, but he *d88d not* tell me that I would be doing a restart
and putting in a second CD. Thankfully it was easy once I got
going and followed the instructions.
I apologize for ranting. I'm sure he tried. But it makes me
wonder: Do these tech support people get training in VoiceOver at
all? You get some that know all about it, and some (like this
one) who were shocked that you could only get VoiceOver if you got
the DVDs; it doesn't come on CD.
Anyhow, like I may have said before ... where is the folder,
what's in it, and what do I need to do?
