Hi All,
I go to apple mac os x downloads when I want something for my mac and
I have yet to fail to find what I am looking for even if I don't know
its name. For instance, I found audacity there and was looking for
an app to convert text files to audio and found lips. It's easy to
use, freeware and accessible. Preferences are dimmed for some reason
and there's no documentation but it will accept typed and pasted text
and convert/export to .aiff in any Mac os x voice and its rate is
adjustable. It lacks the expression of VO but I think that has to do
with the fact that it uses say for its output.
If you're looking for a quick way to convert text into an audio file,
give lips a whirl from the Mac os x downloads page in the audio section.
