Reply: No, I have no positive spin for you on this. I can only say I was severely disappointed that almost a year after Tiger and VoiceOver came out Pages 2 and Keynote 3 did not make their main window accessible. If the Safari team can do it the Pages team should be able to do it too. I have not technical explanation for their failure to do it, it must be management decisions/priorities. Trust me, I immediately filed a new series of bugs against Pages and Keynote. This not only hurts VoiceOver it also hurts Proloquo and other access software.
