I have just purchased my first mac, and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I
final decided to get a mac after speaking with excited users. This list has
also been very useful. The most common question for first time mac users is,
can I do the things I do in windows? or will VO allow me to perform the task
I do with my PC?
I think a opportunity to try before you buy is a good idea, but research and
making sure you know at least something about your product is always a good
avenue to explore.

Asside from the fact that several people were able to make arangements
with either friends or Apple to "borrow" Macs to try out, It really comes
down to cases.

I am thinking that people who spend their own money are more committed
to making VoiceOver work. Maybe there is a reason Apple doesn't have
an iBook loaner program to tempt switchers...
