more on my mail problem

I've figured out my problem with Mail, but I am still trying to  
figure out how to solve it.

The emails I want are still oon my server--they were not being pulled  
down.,  How can I re-download all of these emails in Mail without  
starting over?  Any ideas?

I am using Apple Mail.
