But as I understand it, these players all use only Windows software.
In fact I directly asked the makers of Plextalk if they would make an
application for the Mac and they emphatically said absolutly not!

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. That's too much to play for a DAISY
player. katieplayer is less than $20 and we agree only to
arrangements where we can ensure the price will stay where it is
(this is harder than you might think).
PS would love to have a way to take daisy books and load onto a CD/
DVD and play/read them in a portable way. Vickie Weir
There are a good number of portable DAISY players available from
various manufacturers: Plextor, HumanWare, Telex.
