Hello Pete and all:

Please forgive me for my speedy response (wink). Knocked out by a cold last
week.

I got DVDs to work with only copying the main feature. I do not know if it
makes a difference though I closed the DVD program while ripping the file.
Previously, I had opened DVD player, then opened mactheripper. While both were
open, I extracted the file. This allowed me to rip the whole dvd and play it
back. though if both were open while ripping the dvd, I could extract the main
feature though not play it using dvd player. If i inserted the dvd, closed dvd
player, opened mactheripper, selected main feature, and ripped it, I could play
back the ripped file containing the main feature using dvd player. Why that
works I have no idea although I was able to repeat the process several times.

For what it is worth, that is the news from the front. Others are welcome to
try it and offer their findings. So, if you want to save a little space on the
hard drive and simply do not want all of the extra stuff, it can be done.
