Re: smil files bogging down Finder

smil files are used in daisy players, to determine where chapters and  
things are located in the files.  They have nothing to do with  
bookshare.  It's the xml files bookshare inserts into the book  
files.  They're not really needed, so you can remove those.  They're  
not actually book share files, they're simply extended html source,  
but they're not necessary for reading the book, so if you don't care  
about the extra junk, you can delete everything but the html file.   
You can always use that to save the book back to a text format for  
conversion to any format you like.
