The only way I know of to do this is to use the arrow keys in conjunction with the shift key to highlight what you want to copy or move and I ask the question again, why don't word processors or text editors have a start and end marker function to make it easier to manipulate blocks of text like they used to have in the "good old days".

Sorry, I have the feeling there's a glaringly obvious answer to this I should have been abel to find but I haven't found it. Is there a way to mark blocks of text in text edit and move or copy or delete them? I'm trying to break up a huge text file of the spanish Reina Valera Bible into books and hilighting line by line is obviously way too slow!!!

Also is there a text edit tutorial of some kind where I could learn such things?

Tia.
