I use command+left arrow to move to the beginning of the line. Then, I
use up arrow to find the beginning of the text I want to copy or move.
If copy, I shift+command+right arrow to end of line; then shift+down
arrow 'til I hit 'line' [announced by vo]: then, left arrow getting to
end of line above & let go of shift and, since I have highlighted the
whole paragraph [you can do this for entire sections of paragraphs,
lines, etc.], I do command+c to put all on the clipboard [command+x to
cut], go to where I want with down arrow and do command+v to plop the
text [TextEdit] where I want it. [In the old days, I used to do single
click to highlight a word, double click to highlight a line and triple
click to highlight a paragraph followed by command+c [or command+x];
then, down arrow where I wanted the 'stuff' and do command+v to paste
it in.] I guess there might be some advantages to 'the good old days'
which allows one to come up with alternative methods. <grin>
