books2burn only recording a small part of file

I actually use cspeech a lot of the time now, or speechissimo with  
audio hijack pro, but it's bothering me that I can't get books2burn  
to work for me. Whether I try to chapterize or not, books2burn  
usually only records a few sentences or a paragraph from whatever I  
paste in. can those of you who have used books2burn a lot tell me  
what I might be doing wrong?
