There is a dialog that comes up the first time you sync a new
computer giving you three choices, Sync both .Mac and the computer,
replace .Mac or replace the computer.
So either direction or merge.
I now have 4 Macs and all kept in sync with .Mac. just got my Macbook
set it up entered the .Mac info, told it to replace from .Mac, and
everything was there in minutes.
