Ah, thanks, that is what I tried to use lastime, but in that case it was a boom mic and perhaps that was part of the problem. I'm assuming the usb connection carries both the input and output? Are these the smaller headset that just sits on the ear or does it enclose the entire ear?

I use a logitech USB headset. It has a very  long cord and works quite
