Building a frame around the Cime/Calendar Feature in Tiger

I would like to be able to build a frame around the clock and calendar 
so tht I can create a shortcut that I can use to get time and date at 
random.  Is there a way to do this with VO?  Is this done similar to 
Windows?  Step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.
