Hank, does your beige g3 use USB or ADB?  The ADB keyboards, and some
early Apple USB keyboards, had a power button on the keyboard.  I miss
that.  The physical power button is likely a small indent on the back.
The monitor port has to be back there too, but it might not be VGA!
There were a few model G3 towers before they went to the Blue & White
towers.  What is the exact model you have?  In any case, it is not
rated for 10.4, so you can expect problems, but I respect the hacking
necessary to add life of older computers.  I also think it is funny
about the power button, turning on any of the damn machine is often
one of the more difficult challenges!
