Holly asked:
You do know that you can install tiger without sighted help?

As he recently wrote, Hank first has to install XPostFacto, a clever
hack that lets some unsupported Mac boot Tiger. Another neat way to
install Tiger (and other software) is via Target Disk Mode, but I
sincerely doubt Hank's Mac supports that either.

Hank asked:
So what adapter do I need to get to adapt my monitor properly?

I think someone said, you need a Mac to VGA adaptor. Here is the
first one I found on-line for $15 at URL:
http://www.svideo.com/macdb15hd15.html

I prefer those without dip switches and it is twice as expensive as
their Mac monitor to VGA adaptor (which won't work for you without two
gender changers). I got mine for free by call Nec, I have no idea if
they still do this. You will need the model and serial number of your
Nec MultiSync monitor. I have a spare I will snail mail you for free
if you send me an off-list email with promise to stop top posting...
