Hi,
the normal process for this sort of thing is as follows:
1. Place a Firewire cable between the FireWire ports on both machines.
2. Start up your Beige G# with the "t" key down. "T" is for target
mode. Once you have done this, the drive for the G3 should appear on
the Desktop of the INTEL Mac.
3. Put the Install DVD in the INTEL machine and start the
installation. You should get to a point along the way where it asks
you which drive you'd like to install the OS on. Choose the G3's.
Normally, it would then start the process and things would be good.
Now, I'm not sure of this part though. I believe that the Beige G3
did not come with Built-in fireWire so this whole Target mode thing
simply may not work. If that's the case then we'll have to come up
with something else. If it's not the casee, then someone please
correct me.
