Ah thank you for xplaining that table of contents issue and I take your point, perhaps that will come in a later version and of course Nisus welcome suggestions.

No, I've had no issues whatever when reading Microsoft Word documents though I have had issues with the various views so you can try altering those, say go from Page View (which is Nisus Writers default) to draft view, I found things easier to read in Draft View, you could also try changing the toolbars that is hiding them, hiding the Tool drawer etc. Now I have a question for anyone who is using Nisus, I want to set Nisus to indent on the first line of every paragraph, does anyone know how you do this? It seems also that the pallet area isn't easily accessible or the rulers, am I missing something?

Hi Dane,
What I mean by auto indexing is that when I am creating a table of contents for example, the file will be kept up-to-date if I ad or remove a page or a heading or something like that. I know that Nisus has similar functionality with footnotes and endnotes but I don't use these methods of referencing anyway.

Also, have you had any issues reading MS Word documents? Occaisionally, I've had to interact with th edit area in order to read th contents of the area. What I mean is VO will start to read but it may lose focus after a while.

Best Wishes

Ok, well perhaps its just me but what do you mean by the term ""auto- index"? Now I'm no expert when it comes to Nisus as I've only recently purchased the software and I'm still learning about Nisus writer Express and its many functions but I can tell you that you can create and navigate between user-defined sections of a document.

Hi folks,

I'm currently using a demo of Nisus as it is the only accessible word processor I have found that works with VO. The only problem is, that it does not have the functionality to auto-index. I am a blind university student here in the UK, and when i write certain assignments, I need the word processor to be able to auto index. Could anyone please give suggestions on word processors that are accessible but which can auto index?

Thanks

James
