Responsive alright and its very easy to navigate around and again,
its one of those applications where you can find just about
everything you'll want to ever know about the software in the
excellent manual or on-line help file, pity I cannot say the same of
Microsoft Word 2003 it seems. I have to be fair though, Nisus is far
from perfect as yet but its extremely usable, you can of course (as
I've done) fill out the feedback form under the help Menu of Nisus
and describe any issues you think need addressing, any new features
you'd like added etc.

Nisus is very vercitile. I use it now in preference to Word on the
PC because I find it infinitely more responsive and flexible.

Just one look at Nisus has me convinced. But I doubt I will be
getting it soon. It reminds me somewhat of Microsoft word--as far as
navigating menus and seeing familiar stuff. I just had one question
and that is, do you have to push that indent button, or can you get
rid of all the extra buttons like I did and let that tab indent like
I do in Textedit?
I like the way that it seems to show that stuff is double-spaced like
it oughtta, without having to ssshope. Just click on the thing for
double-spacing and it works. I'l fool around with end notes and
footnoes later.

Ok, well I'm not going to argue with you as you've obviously made
up your mind but I'd like to address a few issues here.
Firstly, if you did what I suggested in a previous message (that is
change the view) then you wouldn't have to itneract with anything
at all as the Edit Box would be the only thing being displayed on
the screen unless you specifically customised your screen to
display other elements, tools, drawers, rulers or views and I found
this made things heaps easier.
No difference in the menus? Well again that's twaddle but each to
their own, if Text Edit does what you wish it to do then that's
fine but Nisus is a far more powerful application than Text Edit
offering heaps more possabilities and flexability.
And finally, Nisus has been updated quite a bit lately.

I've tried nisus writer. The demo expired months (years?) ago,
and you need to interact with the scroll area to get at your text.
No way to test the saving utilities to see if they work properly,
and I didn't see anything in the menus that I can't do with text
edit or some combination of other utilities already. For me, it's
a waste of $69, and in my opinion, not as easy to use, nor as
accessible, so it's of no use to me.
