I use smart mailboxes to pick out collections of messages, then I  
select all, and move those messages in the smart mailbox into a  
physical mailbox.  This way it's out of my main inbox, and doesn't  
take up space or message count there.  Helps keep my inbox clean.
I don't like having the smart mailbox messages in my inbox, so I move  
them to other mailboxes, so that they aren't there when I'm looking  
at my regular messages.
