Yeah ok, well I suppose its a bit pointless but I can enter data successfully from my phone so if the two can be synchronised (which they can) then at least that's a very clumbsy workaround until Apple fix the issues with the address book.

Ah, you are correct, but adding data to the address book was the real challenge I ran into. Its not impossible, but its much more painful than is absolutely necessary. So, it can be done, but at what cost to your patients and sanity. grin

Hi everyone!

I know there has been some discussion of the Address Book utility that comes with OS10 on the Mac. Well I had occasion to use it for the first time today and thought I would relate my experiences thus far of navigating the software and I have to say that no, I didn’t to hold my hands up over my head and cry in dispair to get access to the information I was after. Now please excuse me if what I’m going to say has been covered but I don’t think it has but to be fair, I haven’t really been paying much attention to the thread.

so I accessed the address book just to find out what was in there having synced my Ibook with my Bluetooth compatible phone a number of times. Yes, viewing address cards isn’t what you’d call “straight forward” in my view but as I had some idea of what I was looking for, I typed in some characters into the search text feeld and pressed enter.

Upon browsing the screen, I came across a scroll bar so I interacted with it, this allowed me to see the various feelds of a contact card and to scroll between the next and previous cards on the click of a button.

Further interaction with the feelds of the card allowed me to get access to the data I required so yes, its possible to use the Address Book though yes, it does take some time to use and to get used to, I’ll keep laying, the next task I’m going to try is actually to enter some information into the Address Book via the Ibooks keyboard.

Cheers
