Yes, this is mentioned somewhere in the voiceover documentation, or
in the keystroke list, or something like that. and, I agree, it is a
very handy little thing to know about.
And, I also agree that I believe it is unique to voiceover. Artic
had a keystroke to use to speed up speech, but not a key to stop and
then resume where it left off, only temporarily silence speech while
the computer was still outputing text.
