Reinstalling Text Edit

Hi folks,

Hope you're all okay!
I have a bit of a problem - I was cleaning my Mac and i accidentally deleted 
the Text Edit program. How can i reinstall this? I have tried to re install 
it with the Install CD but it didn't work. What am I doing wrong? The CD 
reinstalld software I have deleted such as the host of games etc but not 
Text Edit.
