I am seeking a good terminal emulation program that will run in OS 9.22.
I liked ZTerm back in the day. http://homepage.mac.com/dalverson/zterm/ I was pleasantly surprised to find that an OS X version is now available.
I am trying to discover if the modem I have for my G3 is actually functional [snip] I understand you cannot just plug in one via a slot?
What model G3 do you have? OS 9 supports RS232 serial port modems easier than USB. OS X supports USB easier than RS232. Both should be okay with an internal modem. Internal modems can be added or replaced (depending on computer model). You should also be able able to use an external modem of some variety.
