Hi Travis,

So what exactly does this mean for those of us using Intel if anything? I thought intel was teh new mac band wagon why are they poosibly changing so fast?

They won't ditch intel support entirely, Apple has a decent track record for supporting older hardware for a few years anyhow. Besides, they would have to support them for at least 3 years, since that's how long the additional warantee is for if you purchase the apple care with the computer. Of course, that's hardware, there's nothing says software has to support it. I can tell you though, there is no intel version of mac os server. They didn't port the server to intel, though why is a mystery to me, since there's not a whole lot extra in the server, though perhaps they knew the change was coming to sparc, so decided not to make server available. <shrug>
