The only problem I see it causing is folks not checking the facts and takng what they read on a blog as fact or possible fact. And not to drag the topic around and kill it much more, I would say that not only do I believe Apple wouldnt' drop the Intels at this point, that if they were going to consider Sparc, it would be in their servers and the like. I know some who will not buy anything Intel just because they hate the company and why I'm not completely sure, but the point is Apple made a good decision by going with the Intel processors, as I said, it opens the doors to a number of possibilities that was not available to them previously. I agree that when posting articles or bits from a blog, the url needs to be included. I really think folks need to step back, take a breath, and think this through before they get all worried over something that isn't likely to happen. Applying a little logical thought to the situation will show you another side you didn't possibility consider in a knee-jerk reaction. One logical thought to consider is the amount of money Apple has dumpped in R&D.

the story caused so much worry on this list? That is a sign of a
deeper problem!
