Hi all. Can somebody please confirm the procedure for reparing
permissions on an external volume for me? What I'm doing is opening
disk utilities, and interacting with the outline of volumes. I'm
using VO+Down arrow to highlight the volume and then stopping
interacting with the outline. But the repair permissions and verify
permissions buttons are always dimmed. If I try mouse clicking on
the volume, or even just selecting it using VO+Space, it makes no
difference. So clearly I'm doing something wrong. I need to do this
now because of an access poblem which the author of the software I'm
using seems to think is a permissions issue.
