Hi James,
On my public folder of my idisk is a file called TextEdit.zip. copy
this file to your Desktop then double-click on it. It will unzip it
for you and give you the TextEdit app. then copy that newly formed
app into your applications folder and you'll be off to the races.
Access my idisk by going to your finder then to the Go menu and
choosing iDisk then "Other Users public Folder" from the sub-menu.
