Gabe, I sure am not taking a defensive position and I respect your opinion, but I also have equally as much right to disagree. Your statements so far are not totally correct. Just because 512Mb or 1Gb works well for you, does not mean that more isn't better. The less the system has to swap pages to disk improves performance for one thing. Its not always a case of how much a program uses, but how many programs etc. can be run. You'll never convence me differently, I've seen to many real life examples and I'm not talking about on a windows machine either.
