Well, I did figure out that I can use the hot keys for visiovoice
from within other applications but I still can't actually do anything
in those other applications because speech stops as soon as I move
vokeys. Furthermore, while i've gotten some short files to convert to
audio, longer ones fail; I still haven't figured out whether it's
strictly length or whether it's some event that interrupts the
process. For just listening I think i've manage to eliminte
interruptions but to do that I've had to cut out regular speech
events that I don't intend to drop permanently. By turning off
talking interface I got busy signals at least to a workable level.
