If you have a choice and across doesn't work, pperhaps vertically
will? I'm actually saying that I'd like to be able to go across to
the next column instead of having to walk the tree down column1 to
get to column2. If that means that I have to put up with some things
being out of order, I can live with that beecause it would be more
efficient in the end.
