Disclosure triangles are similar to "Tree View" where the disclosure
triangle points to the side when it is closed and down when you open
the branch of the tree. MacOS does comment on such things in the
Mailboxes Outline, some items in Open dialogs and often from various
parts of the Finder.
I understand where Kevin is coming from with respect to Verbosity
settings and I believe that I've heard tell of these sorts of
improvements in Leopard. I don't have issue with what kevin is
referring to but I'm also not on so many lists and have figured my
own ways of dealing with those kinds of things.
