Hello
These USB ports are USB 1 instead of USB 2. About the only thing
those ports on the keyboard are good for is to plug in the mouse.

I was installing Tiger on an iMac, which someone gave us, and I

may have to purchase one from our store. This particular Apple
dayboard, however, has two USB slots on either side of it, I
discovered, so I tried connecting a device to it. Tiger found the
device, but I got an alert, saying the power to the keyboard is too
low to operate the device and that I should plug it into an
electrical outlet to increase power. This brings me to my next
questions: do these keyboards have a battery inside them, and is it
easy to get to? I have a different keyboard from this one that
came with the iMac that was given to us. As I said, it's a
different Apple keyboard, but we have one like it at our store, and
I may purchase it. I wasn't aware that there were two USB slots on
either side of it. Richie gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.
