I'm sure you've tried this, but sometimes, I have sound quit on me
and pressing command-f5 waiting a bit and again, returns VO.

about this? I don't really want to reinstall especially with my
scanner having just been installed and when i tried to boot the cd I
didn't get sound either and the install dvd didn't sound the way it
usually does so I don't know whether or not this is related or a
separate issue. Any help would be appreciated; I'll also be searching
google and maybe calling Applecare but applecare has a tendency to
keep telling you to look at the screen.
