Thank you Esther for this great info. I did read the article on the Wiki about ITunes. It seems that I'm not experiencing ITunes the same way this author is with VoiceOver. When I open ITunes, and tab or arrow around the main window (with voKeys+arrows), all I hear is "unknown"; this is all VoiceOver announces for any object in the main window. How can I do anything with this? Is this what other people on this list are experiencing? Is the person who wrote this article on this list, and if so, how were you able to get feedback from ITunes main window. I can access the menus, and much of the prefs dialog is accessible, although many fields are unlabeled. You can change values, but its often unclear what your changing values of.

What a pain. There is a mail-archive search that you can execute from: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ This starts from December 2, 2005, so you won't get earlier entries. You can bookmark this page. Typing a set of search words in the find box returns pages with a series of links to posts which match all words, along with brief excerpts giving the post context. Boolean logic and phrase matching are not supported. Typing "iTunes" and "carbon" as search terms gets you 34 entries, with a slew of postings between September 8 and 22. This search is easier to use than subject searches, since the discussion spilled over more than one thread For a good introduction to iTunes, check Tim's entries in the VoiceOver wiki: http://www.blindtechs.net/wiki/ http://www.blindtechs.net/wiki/index.php/ITunes HTH.
