In a recent post, I had asked about wireless networking. I also said I was new to networking and that any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Well, yesterday, I was home by myself, and I decided to experiment. I had found a piece of paper with information pertaining to the file and the hub on a braille card I had written when my son installed our router. I went into System Preverences, clicked on Network Setup, activated my Aiport card, typed in the network address and password given to me by my son, applied whatever changes I made in the settings, clicked the lock when all settings were what I wanted. I then unplugged my DSL cable from my Mac Mini, clicked on Safari, and low and behold, my wireless interface worked. I am ready to go wireless, whenever the Municipality of Anchorage and the Anchorage Burrough (we don't have counties in Alaska) get ready to go wireless city and burroughwide. Once the Airport utility is turned on, Tiger will automatically search your system for any wireless signal from the router. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.
