is your sub woofer separate or are they part of the speakers you have?

That's a matter of opinion!!! With my surround speakers, the Imic isn't
really very good. griffin does have something called a firewave for
surround sound; maybe one could use that and concomitantly use the imic
for line in but I'm not sure.
For my speakers to really sound good, I need a jack for front, back and
subwoofer.
