Hi Cheryl,
I have a 4G 40GB iPod, though I've played with the current 30GB
model...that is 6G I think, right? And the iPod shuffle as well. I don't
personally like the shuffle, as its interface is too cumbersome if you
have a lot of files. I've got 3000 songs and quite a few audio books and
podcasts on my iPod currently. The click wheel is extremely easy to use
to navigate through them.
Since the iPhone can distinguish between accidental touch and actual
commands, I'd suppose that it could be made to speak what your finger is
over, and then a tap or similar gesture could be made to execute. I'd
really like to see such an interface, in fact.

I very much agree with Josh. I have a cellphone with a keypad that a
lot of blind people would complain about. After the first couple of
days I had no problem with it but when i first looked at it I
hesitated to buy it; glad I didn't. Which ipod do you have Josh? Is
the shuffle the only one you can use or have you experimented with
others?
As for the iphone, my initial feeling is that it may not be useable
but I'd be happy to find myself to be wrong.
