Hi Cheryl and all,

When I wnt to the ad-ons list, firevoxtts was indeed there but I had to select freetts before it would talk. I don't know why wsapi 5 was selected by default <grin>. In other words, itt now works thanks to Cheryl's patient proddingg.
By the way, I'm using a newer xpi bundle.

Hi David.

The instructions do work and I don't have enough information to figure out where the problem is.

Start firefox and go to add-ons; the menus do work with vo though you can't do anything with them. just see if firevox is listed in your add-ons menu.

You said you got an add-ons window; if i remember correctly hitting enter on that should take you back to the startup page. did you remember to then quit firefox and restart it twice?

Other than that, I can only tell you to go through the steps again and make sure you haven't missed something. I do remember that when I helped Justin with this, there was something a little tricky on the step where you add firevox but I can't find that email at the moment.
