On occasion I use netscape instead of apple mail. I get the same
results Dave describes below with either mail program. It must be
caused by the ISP. I can suddenly get a message 1 day old or 6 hours
late etc, show up even though the server is supposedly empty. I have a
pop account set to erase on download. Vickie Weir
