Omnipage doesnt care the orientation it will fix that but if you have a
book that does not sit flat on the scanner, part of the page scans at
decreasing text size as the page gets farther from the scanner surface
as you get closer to the center binding of the book, and it gets darker
so eventually it is hard for the OCR to determine what the character
is. Press smoothly on the book to get the page to lay flat. Not too
much or you will press the scanner glass into the scanning arm
underneith and evetually damage the scanner. Vickie Weir
