Remote Access

Hello all.  Does anybody know whether there is an accessible version  
of something like Apple Remote Desktop available which can be used to  
administrate a Mac remotely?  Either from another Mac or from a PC.   
I suspect the former would be more likely.  This would certainly make  
my life easier I must admit.  Thanks.
