podcasts and itunes

Hi guys.  I have a few questions regarding podcasts in itunes.  Mainly  
if for instance there are 2 new episodes in a feed, itunes seems to  
only want to download the first new one in the list i.e the most  
recent one.  There doesn't seem to be a way to make it get all new  
episodes.  The only options that seem to be available in preferences  
are get all episodes get most recent one and do nothing.  I know I can  
download them manually but is there anyway to force itunes to get all  
the new episodes when it checks without me selecting them individually.

Also, when I delete a podcast from my library, there are times when  
itunes downloads it again  I assume podcasts work the same and if I  
don't want an episode anymore it is safe to delete it?  Am I wrong  
about that?
