That is my problem. If his conduct in the past history of this list
can't stand up for itself then he shouldn't be here. If it can then
he should be accepted. This list has an archive.
Why are certain people bringing up his outside behaviors? That
brings up the outside behaviors of everybody on this list once that
occurs, and you don't know anything about me and my behaviors outside
this list, so why bring it up? Please keep things within the
confines of the list and it's history.
I will hole heartedly agree that Gabe has a bad past history here, I
also subject that by those bringing in stuff from other places are
just as wrong because we weren't there and don't know that history
and probably don't have the time to follow that up. So keep it
within the list.
Other than that I think moderator/moderators will have their hands
full with this topic and with Gabe because people keep wanting to
bring in stuff from other places and times. Go back through the
archives of last summer, and if you as a moderator wish to stand by
your decision, then stand with it, but don't be surprised if a bunch
of folks leave.
And yes, I do have
experience both moderating and owning lists. Past history
based on memory and probably
even more so within list archives to me would justify that he never
be allowed back here again. He can create his own list as far as I
care, but I wouldn't be very happy with him/Gabe here again because
he refused to learn anything from being on moderated status/banning/
whatever within list history.
Is that 0 tolerance, maybe, but maybe it's just common sense, just a
discussion of whether to accept a person back into a list shouldn't
be predicated on his outside list behavior because i
n all honesty, unless there are actual independent sources of
information we can't fairly investigate the claims.
Kevin, you may have to make a hard choice, and so may I. Some things
aren't worth the headaches. .
