to the person who rather harshly emailed me regarding running the Mac OS
platform on a PC system, I wish to 1 appologise for starting this bloomin
thread
as I'm getting a bit rattled over someone being so rather harsh with their
comments.
Hardware and software tie in well together and are fairly universal in
their support like running UNIX on an AMD system, Solaris on an intel host
board
or anything like that.
if you understand a major point I am making without going further: if apple
make a real effort to make certain applications accessible then I will
happily kick the VMWare device from my workstation server. We are talking
about
Microsoft office 2004 for mac, apple works, Apple logic pro 7, Pro Tools and
sibelius 4 mac. those are the tools that most of us use in the industries of
pro audio, editing and other work. for me if these applications fully support
with Voice over then I'll happily buy a mac rig and move from windows. but
until then I want to make sure things are getting there. since my work with
macs over 4 years ago with outspoken. I found outspoken totally supportive to
my needs and it served every job until things went and then I had to upgrade
my hardware and switch to windows with jaws professional edition, sonar,
sibelius, sibelius speaking and soundforge support
to be quite honest if someone's going to be tonal with me over what I am
saying actually works then test it yourself. as for the rest of this I'm now
beginning to prep to leave this list.
