I'm sure this will bring up several differing opinions, but
from what I've been told by long time Mac users, Macs don't require
the reboot often. There are, of course, Windows users who who claim
the same for Windows machines, but these are the same people who will
also claim that their systems don't crash and that PCs are better
because you can more easily mess with the guts of the machine. One
of my friends leaves his machines on all the time unless he is going
away for a significant period and only reboots about once a month
just for the sake of doing it.

Hi folks,
Since we have been having a quite in depth discussion about Windows
recently, I've been wondering if you need to reboot a Mac quite
regularly.
I always found with Windows that if I re-re-booted my machine it
would it would run a little more smoothly. Is this necessary on a
Mac? I have not switched off my Mac or re-booted it since i got it
back from the store back at the end of March? I have closed the lid
for it to go to sleep though.
Hope my question makes sense?
